About This Project

The customer brought in the entire mantel piece from his house. Over the years many layers of paint had been applied and it had lost much of its fine details. After many painstaking hours of stripping (at times with dentinal picks) and hand sanding, we were able to restore it so that it was able to be stained and clear lacquered as it was originally intended. Turns out, it wasn’t even for his house but rather for a rental he owned. Both he and the tenant were happy to have it back in the house so the stockings could be hung in time for Santa.
